Preview: Thalia!
Thalia! A beautiful name for a beautiful girl! I had the fabulous experience of photographing baby Thalia a few days ago and she did such a great job I just couldn't wait to post a photo! Here is a quick preview :) More to come on the new blog very soon! (currently a work in progress). Will try to get it up and running as soon as possible so you can see more of this stunning little girl! x

Randomosity
I am coming home in less than three months! Which really has nothing to do with this. I am trying to free up some space on my computer (I realized I had 80 gigs of photos.............from my Rome trip!) Anyhow, I came across this one as I was sifting through the billions and realized it never made it to the Cara-post from when she was here! Bah! Can't wait to come home! Look out for more random-osity likely to follow with more sifting!.....UPDATE: found another cutie!

Tiny Humans Make Me Happy
I always find it fascinating that big people were once really tiny people. Tiny humans completely fascinate me. They are so little but develop such big personalities at such a young age! This little man here was absolutely adorable and completely made my day. Seeing as how I have neglected photography for the past month (busy time of year in teaching!) I was excited to get the camera out and give her a little bit of the attention she deserves. I was not, however, prepared at all for the cuteness that I experienced. I'm a little embarrassed to post these pics because little baby Dainton was just so adorable, but I really struggled to work with the light I had and just felt like I had the wrong lens on all the time--not my finest moments. Thanks Sam and Dainton for letting me practice on you! I hope these make you smile as much as I did today!

Helloo there! Have NOT blogged in forever. We moved flats at the beginning of January and our internet provider only got us internet LAST WEEKEND! I also started a new teaching job in January and have been CRAZY busy--so unfortunately, I haven't actually been taking that many photos and worse, the ones I have taken haven't been edited. Here are a couple of random ones. Flight is booked and I will be coming home August 9th--so friends and family beware--the picture taking will commence!
Inevitably, one of our heads always gets cut off. Setting up a tripod in the middle of London just to take a picture of the two of us is difficult!
Camden Market. I shot loads of random people on this particular day--creepy I know. This is one of them. The restaurant in the background is vegan and completely amazing! I will certainly miss it!

Richmond Park
My roomate Claire, kept telling me that I HAD to go to Richmond Park. Boy was she right. Even though it was super damp, freezing cold, dark, a bit dreary, and kind of spooky looking (and I, of course, was not properly dressed), I still thought the park was beautiful. I didn't take that many photos--I really just enjoyed the walk, the millions of deer roaming around, and really just being outside. Here are a few of the photos I did take. I will definitely be back on a picture mission with Claire (in addition to her amazing cake-decorating skills, Claire also happens to be a fabulous photographer) since she has promised me she would take me on a fantastical and mystical route of obscenely glorious photo-ops. Can't wait! Must go back when there is snow--it would be stunning!
MMaking a rare appearance on the blog. This was near the end of our journey. It was freezing cold and I definitely wasn't in the mood to have my photo taken. We couldn't zoom out at all (usually a key feature of the good 'ol self-shot-using-arm photo)--I had the 50 mm on so it's up close and personal!

Eat A Moustache...Cookie.
Movember is coming to a close but not without a good fight to raise some more money! With just a couple weeks left of the beloved 'stache, Kevin decided to try and raise a little extra money for the SKM Enviros Movember group. The best way to get Kevin to do just about anything, is to feed him something delicious. This was kind of the idea he was going for when he decided to do a little moustache bake sale at work in the hopes that people would donate money towards the cause. With the magnificent help and direction from Claire, our housemate/professional cake decorator (who, by the way, is crazy talented and absolutely AMAZING) Kevin was able to create some pretty cute moustache cookies that were a big hit at work! On sale next week: cupcakes!
Disclaimer: The cookie shown above is not one of Claire's creations. This was Kevin's interpretation of his own moustache, fully reproduced in cookie form.
I feel the need to explain this photo. This is Kevin's display of a 'Clay face'. It all started a year or two ago when he was poking fun at the face that we 'Clay-Young-Swain' women all, apparently, make. It doesn't matter how foul a mood I am in, when he does the face, it generates a laugh.
By the way--Kevin doesn't normally walk around the house making these faces, wearing a backwards hat and a wifebeater. He had to submit a photo for a 'stache competition at work. We were going for something a little along the lines of Canadian-White-Trash-Dirtbag, but I think he ended up using the cookie photo. Sadly, these weren't even the cream of the dirtbag crop. These were just the first few I looked at and ended up editing to post on the blog.

Mo Money Please!
Ah, the month of November. The fall, the onset of the Christmas season, and a whole 'lotta moustaches. Kevin, has kindly donated his face to raise money for prostate cancer research and decided late last night that he needed a photo to put on his Mo Page--"I NEED a photo now!" I will continue to document the progress of the mo but here is a little sneak peak for now! If you would like to donate, check out the link below!

Monster Max
After the past few weeks of dreadful supply teaching experiences and interviews it was really nice to get together and see all of my Havering friends for lunch. Before heading to lunch, I met Lynsey at her house for some tea and brought my camera along knowing that Max would be just as cute as ever and in need of my camera in his face. I also had the pleasure of meeting Olivia who is a fantastic big sister and fellow gymnast. Hopefully, Olivia won't be so shy next time so I can capture a few more with her and Max together (or at least a few of her gymnastics moves), however, she did make a fabulous assistant (thank you!). Here a are a few pictures from the impromptu photo session--as you can see he is quite the charmer and very popular with us ladies.
